Sharp Plasmacluster Technology:

The ion generation process creates equal numbers of positively charged hydrogen
and negatively charged oxygen molecules (ions) at high speed.
When released into the air, the ions surround and bind to harmful airborne particles
which contain bacteria, viruses, and odors.
As the ions collide with harmful particles they transform into chemically active hydroxyl groups.
The hydroxyl groups strip hydrogen molecules from the harmful particles and turn
into water. This process breaks down bacteria cell walls and proteins as well as
deactivating and deodorizing harmful particles.

Elimination of Airborne Viruses and Bacteria:

The Kitasato Research Center of Environmental Sciences and the Ishikawa Health Service Association
conducted joint studies with the Sharp Corporation to demonstrate that the
Plasmacluster System deactivates airborne viruses and disease-causing bacteria.
Test results show that the Plasmacluster Ion generator eliminated 99.48% of
Influenza virus. 99% reduction of Coxsackie virus which causes summer colds.
Greater than 99% reduction of MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus).
99% reduction of E. Coli (Coliform bacteria) 99% reduction of Cladosporium fungi
(black mold, mildew). Extrapolated results show 99% of viruses and bacteria can be
removed from a 30 cubic meter room in two hours.
